BEDFORD H.S. ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

 Nominations are open for the third class of inductees to the Bedford High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Former student-athletes, teams, coaches and friends of BHS athletics are eligible for induction. Letters of nomination should include details supporting the nominee’s inclusion in the hall.

Nominations will close at the end of the summer, and a selection committee will announce the awardees. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday night, Nov. 20.

Members of the first BHS Hall of Fame Class, inducted in 2006, are Dorothy Blake, Donn Campbell, Mike Elias, Yvonne Busa Ethridge, Ryan Friend, Coach Helen Gfroerer, Caitlin Hurley, Kristin Dougherty Maskalenko, Coach Arthur McManus, Coach Armand Sabourin, Joe Sickles,
Steven Shea, Dennis Taylor and the 1975 championship swim team

Two years later the hall welcomed Honorees are Kim Alcaide, Dr. Neil Amidon, Dr. Elisa Banner, Dan Callahan, Mike Genetti, Jim O’Shaughnessy, Coach Jake Sullivan, Steve Wood, Kerri McGovern Yaceshyn, the 1989-90 state championship winter track team and the 1990 state championship softball team.

THANK YOU SUMMIT HEALTH & FITNESS OF BEDFORD

On behalf of the BAA and the entire Bedford High School community, We want to thank Jesse Keene and Phil Racicot from Summit Health & Fitness Club, 65 Wiggins Ave. Bedford for their very generous donation. They provided a very large set of dumbells ranging from 5 to 80 lbs (all double sets).  The weight equipment was sorely needed and will go a long way toward making the high school exercise/weight room a more viable resource for the student/athletes at Bedford High.

Besides being a Sponsor at our Annual Buccaneer Classic Golf Outing, this is a very significant donation and Summit Health and Fitness should be recognized for its generosity and service to the community.

BUCCANEER GOLF CLASSIC:

Our 6th Annual Golf Outing was a tremendous success grossing over $10,000 this year.   High Five's to all Golfers, Sponsors and Volunteers that made our Sold Out event a AWESOME day at Patriot Golf Course.   We were able to provide 9 Scholarships this year to Graduating Student/Athletes...THANK YOU!
